VASILIKI GEORGANTA
Vasiliki Georganda is a graduate of the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of the University of Patras. She holds a master's degree in "Information and Communication Technologies for Education" (2013) from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens as well as a master's degree in "International and European Policies in Education, Training and Research" from the University of Piraeus (2017). She also holds foreign language diplomas, English (Proficiency/ C2) and French (Delf II/ C1) and has a B-level certification in the use and utilization of ICT in the educational teaching process.
Since 2002 she has been serving as a permanent teacher in public primary education, teaching all grades of the primary school. In 2012, her educational project entitled "Intergenerational Games" was distinguished by the institution "Excellence and highlighting of good practices in Primary and Secondary Education" Ministry of Education. In 2015, the project entitled "The magical and adventurous journey of sounds" won the first place in the Competition "Open Digital Educational Practices of Utilization of Educational Content for Primary and Secondary Education" and received the label of Best Practice in the Elementary category. Since 2019, she has been included in the EKKDA trainers register.
From September 2022, she is seconded to the Institute of Educational Policy as a Education Consultant with placement in the 3rd Department of Education, Evaluation, International and European Education Policy. She has participated with presentations in international and nationally conferences regarding the inclusion of ICT in the educational process. He has also attended training seminars from the Institute of Educational Policy and the EKDDA and has completed two nine-month distance learning programs.
In 2011, her book entitled "International Organizations and New Technologies in Education" Their role in the integration of I.C.T. in Greek Primary Education" was published. She has also participated in European educational programs, implemented either by national or European institutions. Since 2015, she has been working with the company Action Synergy as an external partner and has participated in the planning, creation of educational material and teacher training in thematic areas related to the use of ICT in the educational process.
Sessions
The inclusion of I.C.T. in the educational reality is an issue that has strongly concerned the countries of the European Union in recent years. In the framework of the Europe 2020 plan, the E.U. issued the communication "Opening up education: innovative teaching and learning methods for all, through new technologies and open educational resources". Open Educational Resources are included among the three axes of strengthening the openness of education. These are educational materials available not only for use, but also for modification, adaptation, sharing and reuse. The use of OERs can be combined with the application of various learning strategies and be included in the creation of Open Educational Practices. Within these new frameworks of learning environments that are being created, it is imperative that teaching changes its form and that teachers respond to the demands imposed by the digital age.
